About Aldgate

Aldgate is an ancient City of London station on the Circle and Metropolitan lines, sitting near the eastern edge of the Square Mile. The area is rich in history - Aldgate was one of the original gates in the Roman wall of Londinium - and today borders the dynamic creative quarters of Spitalfields and Whitechapel to the east.
