Bromley-by-Bow is a Zone 2 station on the District and Hammersmith & City lines in east London. It sits close to the River Lea and the Three Mills complex — one of the best-preserved groups of tidal mills in the world, now also home to a working film and TV studio (Three Mills Studios). The area marks the eastern edge of Tower Hamlets and sits near the boundary of Newham, giving access to the Lea Valley's river and path network heading north toward Stratford and the Olympic Park.

Three Mills Island — 10 minutes walk. Historic 18th-century tidal mills and film studios on the River Lea. The House Mill is the world's largest surviving tidal mill. Open for guided tours on selected Sundays.
River Lea towpath — The towpath north toward Stratford and the Olympic Park is accessible from near the station.
Standard Underground hours. Visit Three Mills on a Sunday when guided tours are available.
