About Farringdon

Farringdon is one of the original stations on the world's first underground railway, opened on 10 January 1863. Today it serves four lines including the Elizabeth Line, making it the most connected station in the Square Mile. The surrounding Clerkenwell area is London's premier jewellery and design quarter, with Smithfield meat market, the Barbican arts centre and some of London's best restaurants nearby.
