Notting Hill Gate is the gateway to one of London's most photogenic and sought-after neighbourhoods, made famous by the 1999 Hugh Grant film. The area is home to Portobello Road Market (antiques on Saturdays), Notting Hill Carnival (August Bank Holiday weekend), beautiful pastel-coloured townhouses and numerous independent cafés, restaurants and boutiques.
