Parsons Green is a District line station in Zone 2 serving one of south-west London's most characterful neighbourhood greens. The station opens directly onto Parsons Green itself - a small triangular green surrounded by period houses, independent cafes and the White Horse pub, famously nicknamed the "Sloaney Pony" for its clientele. The combination of the green, the pub and the surrounding streets gives the area a genuinely village-like feel that is unusual for Zone 2.
The area is popular with young professionals and families who value the green space, the independent food scene on the surrounding streets, and good District line connections both into central London and west toward Fulham and Chelsea.
Parsons Green opened in 1880 on the District line Wimbledon branch. It serves Zone 2 only and is not step-free.
The District line (green) connects south-west toward Putney Bridge and Wimbledon, and north-east toward Fulham Broadway, Earl's Court and central London. Journey to Victoria is approximately 15 minutes.
Parsons Green station has shops and cafes. The surrounding streets have independent restaurants and the White Horse pub on the green itself.
Parsons Green is not step-free. Earl's Court (several stops east) is the nearest accessible District line station.
