About 161st St - Yankee Stadium

161st Street - Yankee Stadium is the dedicated subway station for one of baseball's most storied franchises, the New York Yankees. The current Yankee Stadium (opened 2009) stands directly across the street from the station, and the Bronx neighbourhood around it - the Grand Concourse historic district - contains some of New York's finest Art Deco architecture from the 1930s.
