SABB Metro Station is the northern terminus of the Blue Line (Line 1), the first or last stop on the Riyadh Metro's primary commercial corridor depending on the direction of travel. The station takes its name from SABB (Saudi British Bank), whose headquarters stand immediately adjacent. As a terminus, trains always originate here, guaranteeing a seat for northbound passengers joining the Blue Line at this end of the route.

Station Overview

Elevated Zone 1 terminus station on the Blue Line, opened 2024. The northern end of the 38 km Blue Line corridor running from here to Al Aziziah in the south.

Lines and Connectivity

Blue Line only. Southbound trains run through Dr Sulaiman Al Habib, KAFD (interchange for Yellow and Purple lines), STC Al Olaya, National Museum, Al Bat'ha, and all stations to the southern terminus at Al Aziziah.

Facilities

ATMs and WiFi. Darb card top-up machines at the entrance. The station primarily serves corporate commuters working in the surrounding banking and financial services towers.

Full step-free access with lifts, tactile paving, audio announcements in Arabic and English, and platform screen doors.

Travel Tips

• As the terminus, you are guaranteed a seat when boarding here - an advantage during busy morning peaks.
• KAFD is two stops southbound for interchange with the Yellow Line (airport) and Purple Line.
• Morning peak (7:30–9:30 AM) sees heavy southbound demand from this end of the corridor.
