Ilford is a major Elizabeth line Zone 4 station in the London Borough of Redbridge, serving one of outer east London's busiest town centres. The station was significantly upgraded as part of the Crossrail project and now gives Ilford a fast direct connection to Liverpool Street (12 minutes) and Paddington (30 minutes). The town centre has a major shopping area including the Exchange Shopping Centre and outstanding South Asian food on Ilford Lane.
Ilford Elizabeth line station is in Zone 4 and serves as a major gateway for the Redbridge and Barking area. The rebuilt station has full step-free access and significantly expanded facilities compared to the previous National Rail stop.
