King Salman Park Metro Station is the gateway to what will be one of the world's largest urban parks - King Salman Park, a 13.4-square-kilometre green space being developed in the heart of Riyadh as part of the city's Vision 2030 transformation. When complete, the park will include botanical gardens, an arts centre, a sports complex, cycling and running tracks, and extensive public green space - a dramatic reimagining of what had been an underused former airport site. The metro station puts this major leisure destination directly on the city's transit network.
