About Yoyogi-koen

Yoyogi-koen station serves the western entrance of Yoyogi Park, one of Tokyo's largest and most beloved green spaces at 54 hectares. The park is a popular weekend destination for picnics, cycling, sports and open-air performances. Adjacent to the park stands the National Gymnasium designed by Kenzō Tange for the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, one of Japan's most celebrated pieces of modernist architecture.
