Civil Lines Metro Station is an underground station on the Yellow Line, set within one of Delhi's most historically significant and spacious residential zones. Civil Lines was originally developed for British administrative officers and today retains wide roads, old bungalows, and a distinctly unhurried atmosphere compared to much of modern Delhi.
The station is a practical transit point for those working in the Delhi High Court complex, the many government offices in the Civil Lines area, and the commercial hub of Kashmere Gate just one stop south. It draws a mix of lawyers, government workers, and local residents who appreciate the relatively uncrowded boarding experience this quieter station provides.
Underground and well-insulated from the heat, the station concourse is clean and orderly. Outside, passengers can find autos and e-rickshaws connecting to the surrounding bungalow colony and nearby Tis Hazari Court complex. Kashmere Gate ISBT and the major interchange at Kashmere Gate are easily reachable in a single metro stop, making Civil Lines a useful pre-interchange station for those heading further afield.
If you are heading to Delhi High Court, Civil Lines is your closest metro stop on the Yellow Line. It also gives easy access to Tis Hazari Courts and Civil Lines Heritage Bungalows. Use the fare calculator to plan your journey cost before you travel.
