Karkarduma Court

Karkarduma Court Metro Station is an elevated transit facility on the Pink Line, specifically designed to serve the massive Karkarduma District Court complex in East Delhi. Prior to its opening in 2018, lawyers, judges, and litigants had to rely on the older Karkarduma station (on the Blue Line) and face a long, congested walk or rickshaw ride. This new station drops commuters practically at the gates of the judiciary complex, revolutionizing legal commutes in the trans-Yamuna region.

The station is built to handle highly specific peak crowds corresponding with court timings. The design is utilitarian and efficient, focusing on rapid passenger dispersal. The environment outside the station is a distinct mix of legal professionals in black robes, bustling notary stalls, typing centers, and small cafes catering to the legal crowd. It also serves the dense residential and commercial areas of Vishwas Nagar behind the court complex.

Strategically, Karkarduma Court station operates as a specialized node on the Pink Line. While the nearby Karkarduma interchange station handles broader regional traffic, this station provides pinpoint access to the legal hub. The DMRC maintains strict security protocols here, given its proximity to sensitive judicial installations.
