Lewisham station is the southern terminus of the DLR, bringing the Docklands Light Railway to the heart of a major south-east London town centre. The station is also a significant National Rail interchange, with services towards London Bridge, Cannon Street and out towards Dartford, Gillingham and the Kent coast. Lewisham town centre - centred on the large Lewisham Shopping Centre adjacent to the station - is one of south-east London's most active shopping and market destinations. Lewisham DLR station opened in 1999 as the terminus of the Lewisham DLR extension. It sits in Zone 2 and is the southern terminus of the DLR. The station has step-free access throughout. National Rail services also stop at Lewisham from a separate adjacent National Rail station.
The DLR runs north from Lewisham through Deptford Bridge, Greenwich, Cutty Sark, Crossharbour and towards Canary Wharf, Bank and beyond. Journey time to Canary Wharf is approximately ten minutes; Bank approximately seventeen minutes.
National Rail from Lewisham reaches London Bridge in approximately ten minutes and London Cannon Street in twelve minutes - often faster than the DLR for reaching the City from Lewisham.
Lewisham DLR station has toilets, ATMs, shops and a travel information point. Lewisham Shopping Centre is directly adjacent with major retailers. Lewisham Market (Monday to Saturday) operates in the town centre with affordable fresh produce and food stalls.
Lewisham has full step-free access throughout the DLR station. The National Rail station has step-free access from street to platform.

DLR services at Lewisham run from approximately 05:30 to midnight Monday to Saturday and 07:00 to 23:30 on Sundays. There is no Night Tube on the DLR. National Rail services run similar hours. The market is busiest on Friday and Saturday mornings.
