Shepherd's Bush Central line station is one of west London's most useful interchange points, sitting directly adjacent to Westfield London - one of Europe's largest urban shopping centres - and providing quick access to both the Overground and the Hammersmith and City line's Shepherd's Bush Market station nearby. The station serves a Zone 2 location that has seen substantial change over the past twenty years, with the Shepherd's Bush Green entertainment district, the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire music venue and the Bush Theatre all within easy walking distance.
This is distinct from Shepherd's Bush Market station on the Hammersmith and City line, which is about 500 metres away and serves a different line. The naming is confusing but the difference matters when planning your journey.
