About Ikebukuro

Ikebukuro is north-west Tokyo's main hub - a major shopping and entertainment district with a slightly grittier, more local character than Shibuya. It is home to two of the world's largest department stores (Seibu and Tobu), Sunshine City (a huge vertical mall with an observation deck and aquarium), and the 'Otome Road' district - the epicentre of anime and manga culture aimed at women.
