About Ueno

Ueno is Tokyo's premier museum and cultural district, home to the Tokyo National Museum (Japan's oldest and largest), the National Museum of Western Art, Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, National Museum of Nature and Science, and Ueno Zoo - all set around Ueno Park, famous for its breathtaking cherry blossom displays every April. The Ameya-Yokocho market immediately south of the station is a bustling outdoor bazaar.
