Great Portland Street station is a Zone 1 stop on the Circle, Hammersmith and City and Metropolitan lines in Fitzrovia, one of the original stations on the world's first underground railway opened in 1863. The station does not have step-free access. It is between Euston Square to the east and Baker Street to the west.
All three lines - Circle (yellow), Hammersmith and City (pink) and Metropolitan (magenta) - serve Great Portland Street. Services connect east to Euston Square and King's Cross, and west to Baker Street (one stop, major interchange with Bakerloo, Jubilee, Metropolitan and other lines).
Great Portland Street station has a travel information point and ticket machines. The surrounding Fitzrovia area has a good range of restaurants, cafes and independent shops. The BT Tower is visible nearby. Regent's Park is a short walk north.
Great Portland Street does not have step-free access. Baker Street (one stop west) has step-free access on several lines including the Jubilee, Bakerloo and Metropolitan.

Circle, Hammersmith and City and Metropolitan line services at Great Portland Street run from approximately 05:30 to midnight on weekdays and similar hours on weekends. There is no Night Tube on these lines. The area is busiest on weekdays when the Fitzrovia office community is active.
