About Osterley

Osterley station is a Piccadilly line stop in west London that serves primarily as the gateway to Osterley Park, one of the National Trust's finest West London properties. The park's 18th-century mansion was remodelled by the architect Robert Adam between 1761 and 1780 and is considered one of his masterpieces - the interiors, particularly the Etruscan Drawing Room, are among the finest examples of neoclassical decoration in England. The 357 acres of surrounding parkland include ornamental lakes, a pleasure garden and farmland. The Piccadilly line station was rebuilt by Charles Holden in the 1930s and the station building itself is a good example of his modernist Underground architecture.
