Cambronne is a quiet Line 6 station in the 15th arrondissement - Paris's largest arrondissement and one of its most genuinely residential. The area operates almost entirely for its own population rather than tourists, which makes it one of the more honest and affordable parts of the city to explore. The main local draw is Parc Georges Brassens, a former 19th-century slaughterhouse complex that has been transformed into one of Paris's most characterful parks - the original abattoir buildings have been repurposed as a theatre, a gymnasium and a weekend book market, and the park itself is relaxed and unhurried in a way that the more central green spaces rarely manage.
Zone 1. Line 6 only. No step-free access.
Parc Georges Brassens - 10 minutes walk. Former abattoir converted into a park with theatre, gymnasium, Sunday book market and weekend organic market. Free entry.
Parc André Citroën - 20 minutes walk. A modern park with hot-air balloon tethered rides and striking contemporary garden design on the banks of the Seine.
Standard Métro hours. The park book market runs Sundays 10:00–19:00. The neighbourhood is at its best on weekend mornings when local markets are active.
