The Purple Line (Line 6) runs 29.9 km from KAFD in the north through the residential eastern and southern districts to An Naseem in the southeast, with 11 stations serving communities including Ar Rabi, SABIC, Al Hamra, and the Granada and Khurais Road corridors.
The Purple Line closes the loop on the Riyadh Metro's network by serving the southern and southwestern residential quarters of the city. Its primary institutional anchor is Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, one of the largest universities in Saudi Arabia and a major generator of daily ridership from students and faculty. The line was designed with residential density in mind, serving communities that previously had limited public transport access.
