Park Royal station serves one of Europe's largest industrial areas - the Park Royal industrial estate, which covers about 1,000 acres in north-west London and houses over 1,600 businesses including food manufacturers, logistics companies and warehouses. The Guinness brewery famously operated here for decades before relocating. The Heinz factory was another long-standing resident. Today the estate is being gradually diversified, with some creative and light industrial businesses alongside the traditional manufacturing base. For most passengers, Park Royal is a commuter stop or a connection point for buses to the surrounding area rather than a destination in itself.
