About Deira City Centre

Deira City Centre Station places you at the entrance to one of Dubai's landmark retail and leisure destinations. The metro connection here was designed with high visitor volumes in mind, and the station sees consistently strong footfall from shoppers, families and visitors using the mall as a full-day destination rather than a mere retail errand.

The metro eliminates the parking challenge on busy shopping days and delivers passengers in air-conditioned comfort from anywhere on the Red Line. The station is well-signposted for the mall exit.

Station Overview

Deira City Centre Station opened in 2009 on the Dubai Metro's Red Line. It is in Zone 6 of the NOL fare system. The system operates driverless, air-conditioned trains on elevated and underground infrastructure throughout the city.

Lines and Connectivity

The Red Line serves Deira City Centre, linking it to Dubai International Airport and the eastern Deira/Garhoud districts to the north-east, and to the Marina, Jebel Ali and Route 2020 extension to the south-west. The Union and BurJuman stations provide interchange to the Green Line.

Station Layout and Facilities

Deira City Centre Station is a modern, air-conditioned facility with toilets, ATMs, NOL top-up machines and a staffed service point. Gold Class carriages at the front of each train offer premium seating. A dedicated women and children's carriage in the middle of the train is clearly marked on the platform floor.

Deira City Centre Station provides full step-free access with lifts between street level, the concourse and all platforms. Tactile paving, audio announcements and platform screen doors are in place throughout.
