About ADCB

ADCB is the Red Line stop for the older, denser heart of Bur Dubai. It sits above the Mankhool and Karama neighbourhoods, an area packed with affordable dining, tailoring shops, gold and textile stores and long-standing residential blocks. For a lot of travellers, ADCB is where you get off to eat well and shop cheaply rather than to see a landmark.

The station carries steady commuter traffic from the residents who live in the surrounding low-rise apartments, and it fills up again in the evenings when people head out for dinner in Karama. Because everything nearby is walkable and the food scene is excellent, ADCB is one of the more useful everyday stations on the network.

Station Overview

ADCB Station opened in 2009 on the Dubai Metro's Red Line. It sits in Zone 6 of the NOL fare system. The Dubai Metro runs fully automated, driverless trains, and ADCB is an elevated station raised above street level on a viaduct.

Lines and Connectivity

ADCB is served by the Red Line only. Heading north-east the line runs towards Dubai International Airport and the Centrepoint terminus, while south-west it continues along Sheikh Zayed Road towards Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall, the Marina and the Route 2020 branch. The nearest interchange to the Green Line is BurJuman, one stop away.

Station Layout and Structure

ADCB is an elevated station reached by lifts, escalators and stairs from the ticket concourse up to the platform. Facilities include toilets, ATMs, NOL top-up machines and a staffed service point. Gold Class carriages run at the front of each train and a women and children carriage sits in the middle, both clearly marked on the platform.

Accessibility

ADCB has full step-free access, with lifts linking street level, the concourse and the platform. Tactile paving, audio announcements and platform screen doors are all in place. The lifts make the station easy to use with luggage after a shopping trip in Karama.

Timings and Best Time to Travel
